| So I don't even know the last time I wrote on here. Long time ago that is for sure. from May to Oct. I was in New Hampshire working for the National Park Service as a Ranger. I loved the job. I would do it all over again if given the chance. But would much prefer to get a job closer to TN. Since the beginning of Nov. I have been living at my parents. Thank God for parents that let me move back in. I am looking for a job. But I also wouldn't mind staying unemployed through Jan. I am even thinking about teaching in Jan. We shall see. Any thoughts? Well my time is limited since I need to go do some other errands. Take care. | | |
| Ok so I know I have posted nothing on here about my job offer in New Hampshire that came over the weekend but anyways, here is all the info: I made my decision. I am moving to New Hampshire in 4 1/2 weeks. Can you believe it? I sure can't! Well here are the details. I will be working as a Interpretative Park Ranger at Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site! It is along the NH Vermont border. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I will be the little park ranger that takes you on the tours and tells you everything you could possibly want to know about the place. I have tons to learn about the place first, but I will have two weeks of training before we give the tours but I know nothing about the place. Yikes! I guess I will learn. I start May 14th and will be there until the end of October. 6 months! Is that not crazy? This is the job that I have been working towards for several years through school and internships. And to beat all, it is at a slightly higher pay scale than my previous jobs! Still my heading is trying to wrap around the idea of being a park ranger in New Hampshire. Please, Please leave comments! | | |
| So has it been 7 months since my last post? Not quite sure but after reading 3 post by a single friend in one day I got inspired. So just a little update on my life. I am still unemployed. I guess sorta by choice and sorta not. I came to the conclusion that there are several jobs in the Tricities area that I could do. BUT I don't want to do. Notice the key word there. WANT! I am being very selfish in my search for jobs and I know this. With that being said I have an interview in Cleveland, TN next Monday. I would love to stay in the Tri Cities area so I am looking hard core for a job now. I still would love to work in the recreation setting but I am begining to broaden my horizons. This is where you, my lovely readers, come in. I would love to know what type of jobs you could see me doing and enjoying. I know that yall have some ideas so I would love to hear them no matter how crazy or off the wall they may be. Oh guess what, It snowed today and I was so excited. The local schools were out. What joy. Too bad it is gone now :( Maybe it will come back soon! | | |
| Again same post as on myspace.
Come one, Come All. This is your invitation to come visit me in Yosemite. I wish that everyone could come see this place. The only problem is that overcrowding is already an issue in the park and that a day, weekend or even a week visit will not allow you to see all the great places in the park. I went climbing yesterday up in Tuolumne and it was great. I got sun burned but I enjoyed it. I worked for my sun burn. In other words I belayed for several people and got ot climb all the while being in the sun. It was great. I was supposed to gohiking to day with my new coworker Starr, but I didn't get up and I don't think my shoulders could have handled a pack on them. I should have met her but I didn't it just happened. I will see her tonight and plead for forgiveness. Wed. I went to El Cap meadow and walked around there then I came back and went rafting with some friends. We had a good time. The water still is really cold but feels very refreshing to hop in. Then like i said on Thur, I went climbing in Tuolumne. I have had a great two days off. I am ready to go back to work and get my pay check and see next week's schedule. I am supposed to go on a hike on Tuesday through employee Rec but only if people sign up for it.I sure hope they do cause that would be a sweet day of work. Right before my weekend. My weekends fall on Wed and Thur. It is great!! I am about to get off of here but if anyone knows of a job in the recreation field please let me know I need a job as of Sept.
Thanks | | |
| This is the same post that I put up on my myspace for anyone who might read both.

Trials and Trails Current mood: bouncy
So the past few weeks I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the character of God and I have had a few obstacles in the way. The biggest and most annoying is my own lazyness. I am so lazy that it is sad. I live in one of the worlds prettiest places and I would rather lay in bed for hours than get out an go do something or spend time with God. However, I have learned that God is waiting for me to come to him and seek him out. And guess what, God desires for me to seek after him. What I love above all is that I can picture God laughing at me when I do all the silly funny Sarah things that I do that no else sees to laugh at. I bring God joy when I am living my life for Him. That is an amazing feeling. The trials come when I start listening to others and seeking others out for answers rather than God. Big mistake. God hold all the answers. Not people. So Go to God for answers all you who seek.
And now for the Trails. This is much happier. I have actually gone hiking this past week. I did the Pohono trail. The trail is 13.8 miles long and we added about another mile to take by the end of the day. It is an amazing trail that I recommend to all people that live or visit Yosemite National Park. Yes it is long but very do able as a day hike. I loved it. I went to the Mobile on the east side of the park. It is a gas station that serves country ish food. It is a treat to go there and I was lucky enough to go yesterday.
Again I must say that I do love this place even if I get down for a day or two this place is great. I highly recommend that everyone comes to this place at least once in their lives.
Peace out! | | | |
